Original price was: $3,780.00.Current price is: $3,480.00.

The new FREY EVOLVE line is designed to take the brand’s popular high-end electric mountain bikes and reduce prices to make them more affordable for the masses. The first two models have just been unveiled as the FREY EVOLVE NEO and NEO PRO.

Ever since 2013, when it entered the market, Frey has made a reputation as a versatile manufacturer that produces both affordable, entry-level as well as premium electric bikes that have been engineered for extreme riding. The new Evolve line is a combination of the two, boasting high-end features and components at an accessible price point.

Regardless of the Frey bike you choose, they all have in common a solid, rugged construction, and use high-quality components that are built to last. The Evolve product line offers “high-end specs and a great benefit-to-cost ratio”. So far, there are two models available in this eMTB line: the Evolve Neo and Evolve Neo Pro. Both bikes come in three sizes: M, L, and XL.

The bikes weigh 26 kg (57 lb) and are the first Frey electric bikes to be equipped with the Bafang M510 motor, which is lighter than the M500 and waterproof, while at the same time, it delivers more power. It has a maximum output power of 580W and a maximum torque of 95 Nm. As specified by Frey, the M510 comes with a reduced weight of 18 percent, and output increased by 20 percent.

The Evolve Neo and Evolve Neo Pro are powered by a downtube-integrated battery with a capacity of 672 Wh.  The differences between the Evolve Neo and Evolve Neo Pro lie mostly in the quality of the components, with the Pro model featuring a better front fork (Rockshox Yari with 160 mm of travel vs Rockshox Recon with 150 mm of travel) and better brakes (Magura MT5e vs Tektro HD). There’s also a difference in the drivetrain, with the Evolve Neo featuring a 9-speed SRAM set, while the Evolve Neo Pro features an 11-speed SRAM set.

Frey’s Evolve eMTBs can hit a top speed of 40 kph (approximately 25 mph) and offer ranges of up to 100 km (62 miles) per charge.  You can get them in three colors: Mako Blue, Sunrise Pink, or Wafer White.

    I'm on the list!

I have a couple of cheap e-bikes I wish I never purchased but you get what you pay for.  I want to upgrade and DEFINITELY want a bike with full suspension.   And the price is starting to come into focus. Now we finally have some tax incentives in California so I have decided to buy two.  Did my research and I’m going with Trippin!!!  Thanks Micah

    Just what I needed!!

This is just what I needed.  I really wanted to start riding around town, to the market, beach, everywhere but with a few hills it was not going to work for me.  This bike gets me up the hills without a problem and everyone is jealous of my full suspension.
